Haydee

Haydee was a former crew member of Last Words Ministry and was excited to help start up the radio program once again, this time with a purpose.

I got saved in 1988 through a friend I met in high school. Unfortunately, she wasn't exactly a Christ-like example of how a Christian should live one's life. Her explanation of scriptures seemed correct but she didn't exactly apply it to her own life. I began searching for a church all through high school and, quite frankly, it was very difficult to do. Finally my aunt invited me to a seminar at Calvary Chapel Downey and I loved the way the Bible was explained to me. Everything was taught in a biblical manner and I began to understand and apply the Bible more and more each time. It was a little challenging considering all my friends were not saved and kept saying "you are just going through a phase". I encouraged them to come out and explained to them that they needed to turn to Jesus Christ or Burn for all eternity. After a year of attending CCD the Lord blessed me with a whole new group of friends: Christian friends! Through God's grace I began to not look to man, and begin to understand the purpose of my life as a Christian. Were my actions matching my words? The Lord gave me the opportunity to go out on mission trips to Spain, Morocco and Mexico as well as the east coast and my inner city, Los Angeles. This was the most difficult pruning time in my life.

A few years later I married my beloved husband Todd. He was a friend of everyone I knew before I met him. We have been blessed with a daughter and are praying for three more children. My life has changed as a wife and a mom. Priorities changed as well as responsibilities. For about seven years there were many different ministries and opportunities that came and went. One of them was Last Words Ministry, which we didn't know where this was going nor had a vision for it. I believe God used it for a season, and then shut it down. In the summer of '07 Greg began to share what the Lord was calling him to do. I didn't tell him right away that I had been praying for a little over a year that this ministry would begin once again. With God's leading and direction, I am excited to be a part of this ministry once again. Now, I and everyone involved in Last Words Ministry have a vision and a purpose.
